Why? Because of your culture, gender, identity or sexual preference, the color of your skin\u2026 The immediate solution can be to ignore and erase them, but it is hard to realize that these ideas and attitudes don\u2019t just stay in the web, they chase you in your day to day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Many people suffer persecution and violence in social media.\u00a0 The virtual media is perfect for the fast propagation of any message, and the impact they have in people\u2019s lives is real.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the objective of tackling this problem. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.accem.es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Accem<\/a> has launched \u201c\u00d3DIAME\u201d, an interesting campaign with messages that try to look into the anonymous actions in social media against different groups. This entity works for equal rights, rights and opportunities for all the people, regardless of their origin, gender, sexual orientation and identity, religion, opinion or social group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed aligncenter is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<div class='avia-iframe-wrap'><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"\u00d3diame\" width=\"1500\" height=\"844\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/YDuDhu-MIOA?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In these audio visuals the unjustified attacks that many people receive through internet are highlighted, most of them based in ignorance, rejection feelings,\u00a0 fright and superiority, fed by media and political ideas. The &#8220;difference&#8221; is used to discriminate and attack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The campaign also has potent testimonies of people that have lived discrimination experiences from social media. The impact of this harassment is with them throughout their lives&#8230; nothing stays &#8220;only the virtual&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In his testimony Fernan talks about how racism many times starts at childhood. Let\u2019s remember a basic idea of coexistence in every ambit: <em>treat everyone as you would like to be treated yourself.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From DPC we believe there are alternative narratives that can help us see things from another perspective.
