Diálogos Para Construir values Networking and Partnerships that promote inclusion for migrants

As part of our commitment to supporting immigrant community, we strive to maintain and strengthen collaborations with various organizations that share our mission of welcoming and integrating migrants arriving in Spain in search of new opportunities—particularly those in vulnerable situations.

Through a network-driven approach, we have forged meaningful partnerships with organizations such as ABRÁZAME, a foster care and support association in Seville that focuses on welcoming young migrants; MDLR Youth Migrant Support Network, a group of volunteers and professionals specializing in supporting highly vulnerable young migrants; and Asociación Asamblea Económica Solidaria (AES), an association that provides aid for social causes and international development projects. AES extends its support to individuals, projects, and groups, prioritizing those in precarious circumstances.

These partnerships not only bolster our efforts but also facilitate the crucial exchange of resources and knowledge, enabling us to better address the specific needs of each individual. In recent months, we have proudly provided immigration advice, facilitated regularization processes, offered financial support, and assisted in securing employment for individuals supported by these entities.

Here are some examples of individuals who have benefited from this network-driven collaboration:

Sory, a young migrant from Senegal, began his journey in Spain with CEAR (Spanish Commission for Refugee Assistance) and was later welcomed by ABRÁZAME. With their help, he found housing, learned Spanish, underwent training, and obtained his driver’s license. This year, he successfully completed the Shepherd Training Course organized by the Junta de Andalucía. Through one of our partners, Diálogos Para Construir supported his regularization process. Sory expressed his passion for working in agriculture, and thanks to the collaboration between the two organizations, he has started working on a farm in Córdoba, fulfilling his dream of becoming a shepherd.

Yacouba, originally from Mali and a participant in Diálogos Para Construir’s Starfish Program, also benefited from these partnerships. His greatest ambition was to study. After working for some time, he courageously left a well-paying job to pursue higher education. Thanks to AES, which provided him with housing in an apartment designated for migrant students, he was able to take the leap and enroll in university.

Abdoulaye, a young man from Senegal, arrived in Spain with severe injuries from an accident. He was taken in by ABRÁZAME, and with the invaluable support of the MDLR network, he underwent several complex surgeries that were not covered by public healthcare. These operations gave him a renewed sense of self, filling him with joy and motivation to build the life he deserves. The network’s collaborative efforts were instrumental; a crowdfunding initiative led by ABRÁZAME with MDLR’s support was key, and Diálogos Para Construir contributed by spreading his story and securing additional funding.

¡Working Together Enhances Our Capabilities! The exchange of knowledge, experiences, and resources allows us to support more migrants while preserving the individualized approach that recognizes every personal story as unique.

We are also delighted to connect with dedicated individuals across various areas of the Third Sector who work tirelessly, often as volunteers, to build bridges and foster a more inclusive and just community. Behind every organization, there are remarkable people we deeply respect and learn from in every collaboration—Marta, Ramón, Mariví, Pilar, Montse, Anna, another Marta, and many others whose names we may have missed. To all of them: thank you for working collaboratively!

Every day, we are reminded of our guiding motto:
“Many small people, in small places, doing small things, can change the world.” —Eduardo Galeano.
